Spellbound Way has arrived. Finally! A few of the album tracks are up on the site and out on my myspace page so everyone can get a listen.

The album will appear on CDbaby.com in the coming days and I’ll be sure to post a note as soon as it can be purchased.

If you happen to run into me on the street however, and have twelve American dollars that you’re willing to part with, I’ll hand you an album straightaway.

Hope you all enjoy the tunes.

The other day I got a CD of photos from someone who attended my recent performance at the Fine Line in Minneapolis… and in the spirit of our modern-day, all-access culture I’m providing a small sampling of those photos for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure, I imagine, for some of you).

Here we go:

Here I am eating the microphone.

A great shot of John Kurtis grinding out a guitar solo.

There we are…

Also note that album tracks have been uploaded to the music player here on the site. So, if you’re eager to get a sampling of what Spellbound Way sounds like, give those tracks a listen! The album is currently making its way through the mail system and will shortly become available on cdbaby.com. I’ll let everyone know when it’s finally up.

Playing two shows this weekend in the Duluth area… If you’re up there enjoying the color, come out in the evening and enjoy the noise.

Cheers,

St. Paul –

Minnesota songwriter and performer Grant Dawson was (unofficially) named the 50th-most influential man in askmen.com’s poll of the top 49-most influential men of 2009.

See the official list of the Top 49-Most Influential Men of 2009.

“I’m quite honored to be considered for not quite showing up on the poll. I know that being on that list is quite an achievement. I mean, a fictional character and a man who runs very quickly in a straight line finished ahead of the President of the United States, so that says a lot to me about the discerning nature of those polled,” said a beaming Dawson, while standing in front of his very modest St. Paul home.

One anonymous neighbor commented on the situation by asking, “Who’s Grant Dawson? Is he the dude that doesn’t mow his lawn every week?”

No one at askmen.com could be reached for comment and even if they could, they probably wouldn’t comment.
